Thompson Jazz Big Bands

The Thompson Jazz Studies Program will present the Concert Jazz Ensemble and Contemporary Jazz Composer’s Orchestra in an evening of traditional and contemporary repertoire. This program will feature students enrolled as jazz majors and the bands will be directed by Thompson Jazz Studies Program Director John Gunther.

From orchestras, bands and choirs to jazz, world music and opera to world-class faculty and guest performances, the CU Boulder College of Music brings hundreds of stunning performances to Boulder audiences throughout the academic year.
