Guest Recital

Singaporean pianist Margaret Leng Tan is one of the most highly regarded performers in American experimental music. Her recital features the last completed composition by George Crumb (1929-2022), “Metamorphoses, Book II.” Celebrated paintings by such artists as Chagall, Klee, Picasso, van Gogh, O’Keeffe and Wyeth inspired each of the 10 movements. Associate Professor of Music Theory Steven Bruns will introduce the concert and highlight the significance of Crumb's long association with the College of Music.

This guest residency opportunity is made possible through The Roser Visiting Artist Endowment.
