Graduate and undergraduate students will present a diverse program comprised of scenes from Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary era operas with composers ranging from Claudio Monteverdi to Jake Heggie and Gene Scheer. This free, public event not only showcases brilliant student performances but also gives the audience an in-depth look at how students begin to develop and hone their directing and staging skills. Fully staged with costumes and scenery, come witness the liveliness and seriousness (but not too much) of the standard operatic canon.
From orchestras, bands and choirs to jazz, world music and opera to world-class faculty and guest performances, the CU Boulder College of Music brings hundreds of stunning performances to Boulder audiences throughout the academic year.
