Philharmonia Orchestra

The Colorado Luminaries Project is a collaboration between the CU Boulder Philharmonia Orchestra and five student composers. These world premieres are tributes to notable alums of CU Boulder. The pieces include Blake Clawson’s "God Is Red – Who Will Find Peace with the Lands?" (tribute to Vine Deloria Jr.), Gracie Fagan’s "Those Who Walk Among Us" (tribute to Pamela Z.), Alan Mackwell’s "Two Scenes from the Banks" (tribute to Robert Redford), Nicholas Felder’s "From All Those Before Me" (tribute to Linda Hogan) and Ryan Flat’s "Pioneering Love" (tribute to Clela Rorex). The concert will conclude with Alice Mary Smith’s Symphony No. 2 in A minor.

From orchestras, bands and choirs to jazz, world music and opera to world-class faculty and guest performances, the CU Boulder College of Music brings hundreds of stunning performances to Boulder audiences throughout the academic year.
