World Music Program

Join us for student performances showcasing a range of musical genres representing an autophysiopsychic—physical, mental and spiritual—approach to musicking. From bebop and hip-hop to spirituals, gospel, blues, R&B, progressive rock and much more, our spring Cross Genre Showcase presents a mind-opening program of instrumental, vocal and spoken-word creative works.

The CU Boulder College of Music’s Cross Genre Showcase is part of our world music program and supports the college’s innovative universal musician mission: To develop multiskilled, multifacted musicians through diverse opportunities for cross-genre, interdisciplinary collaboration, curricula and performance.

From orchestras, bands and choirs to jazz, world music and opera to world-class faculty and guest performances, the CU Boulder College of Music brings hundreds of stunning performances to Boulder audiences throughout the academic year.
