Composer Fellows’ Initiative (CFI) + Koa String Quartet in residence
Join us for CU Boulder SoundWorks’ first concert of 2025 featuring exciting new works by CU Boulder composers. The evening highlights the Koa String Quartet in residence premiering Holly McMahon’s new string quartet; and showcases opera scenes by Alan Mackwell, Holly McMahon and JC Maynard performed by the brilliant singers of the College of Music's Composer Fellows’ Initiative (CFI).
CU Boulder SoundWorks (formerly Pendulum New Music) is a concert series and forum for the creation and performance of new and original works by CU Boulder College of Music composers, songwriters, improvisers and collaborators. Every concert features multiple world premieres by living composers and creators. Each event is eclectic and can feature anything from acoustic chamber ensembles to immersive electroacoustic works and film scores, performed by CU’s own students as well as internationally renowned guests.
