Step Afrika!

“This is movement as communal celebration.” —The New York Times

Step Afrika! blends percussive dance styles practiced by historically African American fraternities and sororities, traditional Western and Southern African dances, and an array of contemporary dance and art forms into one compelling artistic experience. Performances are much more than dance shows—they integrate songs, storytelling, humor and audience participation. Step Afrikaʼs mix of technique, agility and pure energy leaves audiences with their hearts pounding.

For more than 80 years, the Artist Series has brought the globe's finest jazz, classical, world music and dance performers to Boulder. Many of these performances sell out; order your tickets today to guarantee the best seats.
