Music from Asia, The Pan Pacific Ensemble Residency

Professor of Bassoon Yoshi Ishikawa and members of the Pan Pacific Ensemble present “Music from Asia,” a program featuring new works commissioned and/or written by living composers from Japan, Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, Cambodia and Singapore. Selections also include “Fleeting Dream”—17 haiku of Basho for bassoon and solo voice by Professor Emeritus Robert Spillman. Additional performers are Associate Professor of Voice Abigail Nims, Professor of Collaborative Piano Alexandra Nguyen and pianist Brenda Ishikawa. This event is funded in part by the Roser Visiting Artists Program.
