Bassoonist Yoshi Ishikawa—alongside pianist Brenda Ishikawa and clarinetist Dan Silver—will present a program of virtuoso music spanning the Baroque/Galant era to modern times. The recital will feature music for bassoon by Antoine Dard, an 18th-century bassoonist-composer from the French royal court, songs by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, variations on an operatic aria by Gioachino Rossini, and an unpublished trio for clarinet, bassoon and piano by the American songwriter Alec Wilder.
