An experimental symposium culminating in performances celebrating queer existence and futurity through dance.
[un]WRAP 2023 is "Queer Love In Times of Crisis." This is a week-long experimental symposium that celebrates queer existence and futurity through dance in response to anti-trans and anti-queer legislation. It includes workshops, critical conversations, community building practices, a rave and culminating performances. We will come together for radical embodied research of the question: What can we do together that we cannot do alone? We will embody the wildest dreams of our queer ancestors.
Renowned queer, trans, and/or BIPOC experimental dance artists, who work at the intersection of dance and social and racial justice, will be featured. "Queer Love In Times of Crisis" is a queer-centered dance space that epitomizes the multiple ways that love can manifest as a positive agent of change. Featuring a week of interactive symposiums that culminate in a weekend of live performances, [un]WRAP invites audiences to lean in and engage with the ever-evolving landscape of dance.
