The Loft Theatre is located on the top floor of the east wing of the University Theatre building.

The Loft is an intimate black box space located directly above the Roe Green Theatre. From the lobby of the University Theatre building, walk up the stairs on your right (following the maroon stripe on the wall), or take the elevator to level UR. Please be aware there is no late seating allowed in the Loft Theatre. Arrive early to choose a great seat in this general admission venue.

Public Transportation

RTD's extensive network connects the Denver/Boulder region to the CU Boulder campus. Use the RTD trip planner or a transit navigation app like Google Maps to find the most convenient route.

Biking

All CU Presents venues have nearby outdoor bike racks. No bike? No problem! Boulder B-cycle offers an easy and affordable bike-sharing system with 41 stations around town and on the CU Boulder campus.

Accessibility

2024/25 ADA Parking Update

Due to construction at the Hellems building, ADA parking in Lot 208 is unavailable. On show nights at the Roe Green Theatre, Lot 233 will serve as an ADA drop-off zone for easier access to the University Theatre building. For ADA parking, please use Lot 380 along Pleasant Street or the Euclid Avenue Autopark. Note that Lot 233 is only for drop-offs and parking there during the show is not allowed.

Wheelchair-accessible elevators

Elevator access to the Box Office and accessible restrooms in the lower lobby is available the east entrance to the University Theatre Building.

Wheelchair patrons will be seated in the front row of the Loft Theatre. Please call the box office in advance at 303-492-8008 to request accommodation with your ticket purchase.

Assisted Listening Devices available upon requestAssisted listening devices

Assistive listening devices are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the University Theatre Box Office beginning one hour before every performance. Quantities are limited. We'll ask for a credit card or driver's license as a deposit, which will be returned to you after the performance. The University Theatre Box Office is located on the lower level of the University Theatre Building. To access it, use the main building entrance and take the stairs on the left down one flight, or enter on the building's east side and ride the elevator down to the bottom floor. 

Service dogs allowedService dogs

Please be aware that your dog will be within 3 feet of performers during the performance in this venue. Subject to some limitations, service animals that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability may accompany patrons in all CU Presents venues. Assistance animals (therapy animals, emotional support or comfort animals) are generally not allowed to accompany patrons into our venues. Please refer to the CU Boulder service animals policy for more detailed guidelines about service animals on campus.

Policies

Late seating

There is no late seating allowed in the Loft Theatre. Arrive early to choose a great seat in this general admission venue.

Door opening times

Facilities open one hour before performances. Performance doors open approximately 20 minutes before start time.

Electronic devices

Laptops, tablets, phones and other mobile devices must be switched to silent mode in the hall. All screens must be off when performers are on the stage to avoid disturbing other patrons.

Recording devices

No photography, video or sound recording of any kind is allowed during performances.

Safety

To ensure your safety in case of fire or any other emergency, please note the exit route nearest to your seat when you arrive.

Smoking

Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere on the CU Boulder campus.

Using your tickets

If you have mobile tickets

You will get an email with ticket QR codes 72 hours before your event. Show these codes on your mobile device at the theatre entrance. You can also print them or add them to your Google or Apple Wallet. Or, find your QR codes in your cupresents.org account starting two hours before the event. Log in, then access your ticket codes in the “Upcoming Events” area.

Please visit the box office window located in the basement of the University Theatre Building. Window opens one hour before performances.
