Come meet and hear the new Assistant Professor of Saxophone Nathan Mertens, as he introduces himself to the campus in a recital with Professor of Collaborative Piano Margaret McDonald. The recital will include collaborations with Assistant Professor of Composition Annika Socolofsky, Professor of Flute Christina Jennings, Assistant Professor of Trombone Sterling Tanner and CU Boulder saxophone graduate students Shannon Donahoe, Lee Ross and Ian Gunnarschja. Together, they will perform works by Tsutomu Narita, Nobuhito Sato, Annika Socolofsky, Chanel Crichlow and a world premiere from Austin Perry.
Renowned CU Boulder College of Music faculty artists perform with students and colleagues in chamber music recitals featuring world premieres and beloved classics. Join us for this free series in person at Grusin Music Hall or via livestream most Tuesdays August through March.
