Philharmonia Orchestra
Homage + Reformation

Villa-Lobos pays tribute to Mozart in his Sinfonietta No. 1, Mozart gives deference to Bach in the Adagio and Fugue in C minor and Mendelssohn points to Bach, Beethoven and Martin Luther himself in his Symphony No. 5, “Reformation.”
